6 Days / 5 Nights

The Pristine Lakshadweep Expedition

A 6-day escape to India's most exclusive archipelago. Discover untouched coral reefs, shipwreck dive sites, and the glowing beaches of the Bangaram Atoll.

Trip Overview

Welcome to a paradise strictly preserved by nature and law. Lakshadweep offers a level of seclusion and marine purity unmatched anywhere else in India. This 6-day expedition is carefully curated to navigate the island's strict entry permits, bringing you directly to the breathtaking atolls. You will land on the spectacular airstrip of Agatti, transfer across the turquoise lagoon to the teardrop-shaped Bangaram Island, take a day trip to the uninhabited turtle sanctuary of Thinnakara, and enjoy a private excursion to pristine, submerged sandbanks.

Day 1 Arrival in Agatti & The Lagoon Transfer

Board your flight from Kochi (COK) to Agatti Aerodrome (AGX)—one of the most spectacular runway landings in the world, completely surrounded by a turquoise lagoon. Upon arrival and permit verification, our representative will receive you. You will board a high-speed boat for a breathtaking 45-minute transfer to Bangaram Island. Check into your beach cottage. Spend the evening walking the powdery white sands and experiencing the absolute silence of this secluded atoll.

Day 2 Bangaram Island Marine Exploration

Wake up to the gentle sound of the Laccadive Sea. Bangaram is an uninhabited island (save for the resort staff), offering unparalleled privacy. After breakfast, head out to the shallow lagoons for a guided snorkeling session, where the coral reefs are teeming with colorful fish, rays, and moray eels. Scuba diving is highly recommended here for certified and non-certified divers alike. After dinner, take a night walk on the beach to witness the magical glow of bioluminescent phytoplankton washing ashore.

Day 3 The Uninhabited Thinnakara & Turtle Spotting

After breakfast, board a private motorboat for a day excursion to the nearby Thinnakara Island. The water separating Bangaram and Thinnakara is incredibly shallow and crystal clear. Thinnakara is completely untouched and serves as a major habitat for Green Sea Turtles and Hawksbill Turtles. Spend the day swimming, sunbathing under the palm canopies, and spotting turtles gliding through the lagoon. Return to your resort in Bangaram by the late afternoon.

Day 4 The Sandbank Excursion & Shipwreck Snorkeling

Today is dedicated to the ultimate secluded experience. Board your speedboat to visit the remote, pristine sandbanks that emerge only during low tide in the Bangaram lagoon. It feels like standing in the middle of the ocean. Later, proceed to a nearby shipwreck site (subject to weather), which has now transformed into a thriving artificial coral reef teeming with massive schools of pelagic fish. Return to your resort for a relaxed evening and a beachside barbecue.

Day 5 Return to Agatti & Island Culture

Check out of your Bangaram resort and take the morning speedboat back to Agatti Island. Check into your Agatti homestay or guest house. In the afternoon, take a guided tour of the local village to experience the quiet, slow-paced lifestyle of the islanders. Visit the local coir factories, the Eastern Jetty, and the beautifully constructed local mosques. Enjoy your final island sunset from the western beach of Agatti.

Day 6 Departure from the Archipelago

Enjoy a final, peaceful morning by the lagoon. Savor a local breakfast before packing your bags. Our representative will transfer you to the Agatti Aerodrome (AGX) for your return flight to Kochi, taking back memories of India's most pristine, hidden coral paradise.

Island Guide

The Lakshadweep Compass

Critical operational details to set the right expectations for this highly restricted, eco-sensitive destination.

Mandatory Entry Permits

The legal requirement:

  • Clearance: Entry to Lakshadweep is strictly restricted. All Indian citizens require a Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) and an authorized Entry Permit issued by the Lakshadweep Administration. We process this documentation for you, but we require your ID proofs at least 30-45 days in advance.

Flight Monopoly

Reaching Agatti:

  • Kochi Gateway: Currently, the primary way to fly into Agatti (AGX) is via Alliance Air/IndiGo originating from Kochi (COK), Kerala. Flights are small (ATR aircraft) and luggage weight restrictions (usually 15kg check-in) are strictly enforced.

Alcohol & Restrictions

Cultural laws:

  • Dry State Status: Lakshadweep is an environmentally and culturally sensitive union territory. Consumption of alcohol is completely banned on all inhabited islands (like Agatti). Bangaram Island is currently the only island where alcohol consumption is legally permitted.

Digital Isolation

Disconnecting completely:

  • Connectivity: BSNL is the only reliable mobile network across the islands, and Airtel works intermittently in Agatti. Expect absolutely zero high-speed 4G data or Wi-Fi. This trip is meant to be a true digital detox.

Eco-Tourism Reality

Setting luxury expectations:

  • Basic Infrastructure: Unlike the Maldives or Andaman, mass tourism in Lakshadweep is virtually non-existent. Even "Luxury" resorts consist of basic eco-cottages or tents. The true luxury here is the untouched nature, the private lagoons, and the absolute lack of crowds.

Coral Preservation

Protecting the atolls:

  • Strict Fines: The coral reefs are highly protected. Picking up corals, shells, or attempting to take them back as souvenirs is a punishable offense under Indian law. Please use only "Coral-Safe" (oxybenzone-free) sunscreen to protect the marine ecosystem.
